YUM!!
Today we learned how to make ICE CREAM in a bag!
It only has four ingredients!
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
You put the four ingredients in a ziplock bag and then you put it inside a bigger ziplock bag with:
- 3/4 cup table salt
- 2 cups ice
Then we had to shake it for 15 minutes. Ms Duncan put the timer on the SmartBoard and we took turns shaking the bag. Some of us had to wear gloves because it was soooooo cold!
The best part was tasting the ice cream!
I think it was awesome! ~Brandon
It tastes like real ice cream! ~Tristan
Can we have some more because it was yummy! ~Ryan
It tasted like salt! ~Amber
We learned that you have to be very careful with the bag because if it opens even a little the ice cream will taste like salt!!!!

Eagles ROCK!
Today we laerned even more about the Decorah Eagles from Mr. Butson. He brought in a puppet!
Mr. Butson told us all about the eagles we saw on the webcam!
Here is the link if you want to watch too: Watch the Decorah Eagles LIVE
Mr. Butson answered our questions about the eagles. We learned that eagles nest in high trees and that their wings are very big. He told us that eagles grow to be taller then him! He told us tons of facts like eagle claws are 7 inches long. Bald eagles attack anything that come near the nest, even people! The eagles we watched live near a fishery and he told us thats like McDonalds take out! We learned that baby eagles are bigger than kindergartens and that the nest is as big as our classroom carpet!
