Here at our school, we (the intermediates – Grade 7s and 8s) are doing a fundraiser to help out the Couchiching Jubilee House and the Ontario SPCA.
We are selling Hershey’s Kisses on February 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, and 13th. The delivery to classes is onFebruary 14th, Valentines day. They are 25 cents each.
Each kiss includes a chocolate kiss and a message.
On Tuesday, October the sixteenth the intermediate football team went to Rama Centre to participate in a football tournament. We played three games and we lost all of them. The teams that we played are Coldwater, Ardtrea, and finally Regent park. This made me feel sad because we could not win a game. We came sixth place overall and we tried our best, but all that matters is that we had fun. Turns out we were actually a lot better then the other teams but we just weren’t on our game that day. Better luck next time Cooch!
We collected items to give to the families in the Coochiching Jubilee House because we feel that they must be going through a lot when they are coming to the end of the year that they are spending there. We believe that all of this stuff that we have donated will help them to get back on track and have money for other things that they need. This made me feel very fortunate for all the things that I have and it made me appreciate more of the little things. I will look at things differently now that we have done this, and I hope the rest of the class feels that way too.
